Hmmmm. Very interesting.

The dogs started growling and barking which of course caught my attention. They were staring at the front door, so we went out the side door to come around the house to the front door. By this time they had calmed down. Hmmmm. Nothing to be seen or heard.

But wait!!

Across the road is a red light. What the heck is that? Back into the house for the binoculars. At first it looked like a motorcycle tail light. Nope. Maybe the neighbor put a red light for Christmas decoration. Nope. Hmmmm.

Ha, I know what it is. It's a road flare. Right smack in the middle of the neighbors driveway.

Okay, why? Don't know.

Then I started noticing the cars slowing way down when the flare was noticed.

Nothing going on except the flare, well, flaring.

Now I am curious as to why there is a flare in the middle of the neighbors driveway.

Maybe the neighbor put it there to slow the traffic down.

Maybe it is there to guide out of town guests where they are suppose to turn.

Don't have a clue and don't know the neighbors as of yet, so, I suppose this will remain a mystery for who knows how long.

Until next time.................

PS-- Thank you all for your words of encouragement and support and experiences. It truly is amazing how words alone can do wondrous things. Hugs.

  1. I'm starting to think you've moved to someplace like the Twilight Zone between the crazy guy yelling and flares in the driveway. Have a very Merry Christmas!

  2. How weird! You just have to meet the neighbors and hopefully they don't own "Crazy Guy" and get the low-down on everything that goes on around there!

    Hmmmm..... red flare..... ??????

  3. My lady would have been silly and crept down through the darkness to see what was going on! I'm glad you were more sensible and will wait for the morning to find out!

  4. They're practicing getting the flare in just the right spot, so that they can guide Santa in tonight.

  5. crazy, strange....

    anyhoo...have a Merry Christmas!

  6. Sounds like you have allot of 'free entertainment' out there! ;-) My guess is they were having company coming in or something and wanted to help them find the turn off. In regards to your previous post, I hope that things can improve for you this year. You keep up such a positive can do spirit that I think we often forget how much you've had to give up and go through. I wouldn't worry about how things look with the shelters for the moment--I'm sure the critters don't mind and eventually you'll get everything closer to how you like it. Take care and Merry Christmas!

  7. So, did you ever figure it out??? I'm so curious!I agree it Louise - it was to guide Santa!

  8. Ever verify what that red light was?

Thank you for visiting. Hope to see you again soon.
