Celebrity and Helping

Just read on the Internet that Tony Curtis has passed away at the age of 85. Normally I wouldn't even mention a celebrity, however, he and his wife have a horse rescue http://www.shilohhorserescue.com/ .

Anyone, regardless of 'rank' in society, who helps any animals, is an Angel.

I do have to admit it is sad to see another Hollywood Legend pass away. The age of Legends is coming to a close. Well, to those of us who have watched the ones who paved away for the ones of today.

I think I need more coffee! :)

Until next time..........................

  1. I know how you feel, a little. I've felt like I've gotten to "know" Jill through her blog, and her occasional updates on "TC." What a blow to read it on the news this morning. It feels much more personal now. Poor thing; she had sounded so upbeat lately.

  4. We like the Curtis's here at our farm too and have been very sad to hear of Tony's passing, especially since he had done so well since his recent hospital stay.

  6. Yes, the legends are going down in numbers. I hate to mention one, to one of the kids... they say Who?

  7. Another Shiloh fan here. A few years ago, they took some of the FLTAP horses and found them good homes. I was sorry to read that TC was gone. I loved his grin.

  9. They really helped the horses and I feel the same way as the rest of you. There aren't many legends left now. No coffee for me -- it's too late in the day.

  10. i had no idea he had a horse rescue. thanks for sharing that. yes, it is sad and the quality and character of many actors and celebrities from that era is soo different from today. i do kind hold jessica lange in a league of her own - she appears to have poise, class and restraint. what? lindsay lohan doesn't qualify? ha ha. thank you for sharing.
