Improvising

I wasn't sure what to blog about today. Then all of a sudden an idea came to mind. Since I mentioned about the fake trees in the house, well, I'll show you pictures of the fake flowers outside of the house. As mentioned in an earlier blog, I do not have a green thumb. But I love flowers with all their brilliant colors and wonderful fragrances.

Plus, where we live we have to be very conservative with our water during the summer months. In fact, we have to have water delivered every two weeks due to our wells not being able to produce enough water. The cat is real! That's Baby Worm.

So, one day my oldest daughter looked at me and mentioned getting fake flowers for the planters by the house. At first I thought, okay, that is so tacky. But then I really started giving it thought. Why the heck not!

They don't need to be watered. I can enjoy the colors. No weeds!

The downsize is.........the color fades after about two years and there is no fragrance.

Next Spring a trip to the Dollar Store will be on the agenda.

Until next time..................................

  1. My "real" petunias faded too from the sun and heat this summer. The red ones are now pink!
