What a lovely award!

Thank you Terry over at http://moondanceranchco.blogspot.com/ for a lovely award. Thank you.

Now I have to tell you 7 things about myself and pass this award on to 15 recently discovered bloggers. Some are recent, others are not.

Okay, here goes the 7 things. Are you ready?

1.  When I was younger ( in my twenties) I had one hell of a temper. Never towards animals just people. I once jumped out of my car and went after a guy and his mouthy girlfriend whose car came within an inch of rear ending my car. They both saw me coming and rolled up their car windows. He sat there like an lump while the girlfriend kept mouthing off behind the safety of the glass. I told her that I would stay there until her fat ass got out of the car then I would kick it! The boyfriend quickly backed up his car and took off. When I got back into my car my Grandmother asked my why I did that. I told her because if that car hit us she could have been hurt. Yes, my Grandmother was in my car!

2.  My mother was very abusive both physically and mentally. I haven't seen or spoke with her in, let me think, almost eight years now. And no I do not feel bad about it nor lose any sleep over it. In fact the day I cut ties a lot of my issues were lifted. Me, issues? lol

3. I still miss my Pit Bull who passed away in 2000 at the age of 15 1/2. Best damn dog ever to have graced my life. I am going to get a tattoo of him!

4.  I have not owned a dress in about thirty years! Although I did wear a bridesmaid dress at my best friends wedding about twenty years ago. Not a pretty sight! lol We still laugh about it.

5.  Have always wanted to carve my own carousel horse. A life sized one!

6. Cannot stand being in crowds.

7. Have some major issues towards all alcoholics.

There. There are the seven things about me.

Now to pass this award on.  I hereby pass this award on to:

Community & An Award

First I would like to thank Teresa over at http://edenhills.wordpress.com/ for this award. You made me smile! Thank you. Pop on over. She has a great blog! I am suppose to pass this award on to ten people. Well, since all of you are so great, I pass this on to all of you! You all deserve it!

Secondly, no, the perfect place has not been found yet. I have called on quite a few places either to find out they have already been rented or no return call. That's ok. I'll keep asking and looking. There is no move out date yet, but everyday I expect 'the' letter will arrive. Until then it is more packing and sorting.
Over the weekend we had a yard sale. Got rid of quite a bit of stuff and made a little bit of money. Another yard sale is planned for this weekend even though it is Labor Day weekend. Hey, you never know, maybe it will be great and all the stuff will be gone and there will be more jingle in my pocket!
Over the weekend I met quite a few folks from right here in the community that I had not met before. They came on over when they saw the big Moving signs out front. After explaining why we have to move they started telling me that they have either lost their homes, or were in the process of losing them.
I also found out just how many people whom I have not met before, how they will miss seeing ( and hearing) the donkeys and horses. They told me how much they love driving by and looking to see if there were any 'new' faces out in the pasture.
One lady told me that she is losing her house next month and was going to come over and ask if I would take her llamas and goats. That she didn't want anyone else to have them but me because I take such good care of the animals here. After apologizing that I wouldn't be able to bring her beloved animals in right now, but when, not if, when I find property I will take her animals until she finds a place where she can have them back.
After talking with quite a few people in the same boat, I have decided that it is up to us, the little people, the backbone of this country, to band together and help one another. So that is what will be done! I have a plan forming in my head that if it works out, the 'little guy' will get the help that is needed. It is obvious our Government and banks are not helping us, the little guy. Oh, they say they want to help, but the truth is, they don't. And it all boils down to the almighty dollar! They make money hand over fist while the little guy loses everything.
And over the weekend, I got more hugs from folks whom I have never met before. Genuine caring hugs. By Sunday evening I was so touched by all the people I met. I must admit, it has given me a bit a faith in us humans!
Oh, before I forget, I have been asked about whether Betsy goat will be going with us. Sadly, no, She does have to go back home. But she can stay here until we move.
Well, I think that wraps it up in a nutshell. For now anyway!
As soon as I have a little bit of extra time I am going to catch up on everyone's blog. Gosh, I miss you and keeping up to date what is going on with you.
Hugs to all of you.

Please, if you want, accept this award. No questions to answer. No strings attached. It's just for having a great blog that I enjoy visiting.

Award

1. What would your prefect day consist of?

No worries of any kind. A day knowing that no animal anywhere was neglected or abused. A day knowing that true evil people got what was coming to them. And with knowing it would be a perfect day, a nice quiet day riding ( horses) with friends.

2. How would you describe yourself if you were an item of clothing?

Jeans. Not afraid to get dirty, tough, comfortable and repairable.

3. What hobbies are you currently working on?

Hmmmm, no hobbies right now.

4. Walking in the woods in wellies or bare foot on the beach?

Walking in the woods. Enjoying the wildlife and seeing Mother Natures beauty.

5. Have you ever hugged or sang to a tree?

Yes to both!

6. Growing your own veggies or nipping to the supermarket?

Growing my own.

7. Have you found anyone exciting in your family tree?

Actually, yes. A few. No one famous, but what they did I found very courageous.

8. Slap up meal in a posh restaurant or fish ‘n’ chips from the wrapper?

No posh restaurant for me! Hmmm, fish n chips in a wrapper, yup, sounds good.

9. Which element do you most resonate with, Earth, Air, Fire or water?

Earth for sure.

10. Do you believe in fairy’s?

Hmmmm, fairy's. Well I suppose so since I believe in Angels.

Given an award

Thank you Tina at My World According To Me http://borderlineexpress.blogspot.com/ for this award. And also thanks for helping me actually getting the award pasted onto mine! :)

1. You must accept the award.
2. Thank the person who gave you the award.
3. Add a link to the person who gave you the award.
4. Paste the award on your blog.
5. Write 10 things about yourself that others might not know.
6. Pass the award on to 10 others.

Okay, now for the ten things others might not know about me. Ready? Alright, here goes.
1. I have a phobia of going to the movies, so haven't been to a theatre in years.
2. Always wipe down the handle and that fold up/down seat thing on shopping carts with disinfectant. And never put anything into that seat thing. Do you know how many poopy diaper butts have sat in it!
3. Will not help any homeless person standing on the street holding a sign will work for food/need gas/help a veteran/ etc..... ( I do donate to the food banks and Goodwill). Reason I don't donate is simple. If ten cars and hour each gave that homeless person on the corner one dollar each, and they stand on that corner for ten hours, that equals 100.00 tax free money! Add that up in a weeks time! There are more reasons but that is the kicker for me.
4. Face all the canned and boxed foods in the pantry in order.
5. Gag to the point of nearly throwing up at the smell of a skunk.
6. smoke cigarettes. ( I know, filthy habit. Don't smoke in the house, car, around children and animals).
7. Love the history of old buildings.
8. Fascinated with King Ludwig ll of Bavaria.
9. Afraid of turkeys and geese.
10. Terrified of spiders.
